Dear Colleagues,
Many thanks to all of you for the swift response to the mandatory Computer Security and Data Privacy courses. As part of a global organisation and due to recent laws in India these are both important topics to ensure that all colleagues know the challenges we face in each areas and best practice on how to minimise the risk of them.
Thank you also to all colleagues who completed the Employee Engagement Survey. All schools and the Office in Hyderabad have now analysed the data and have either started their action plans (which includes feedback to all staff) or are about to undertake this. The action plans shared with me all have further opportunities for colleagues to engage with further feedback so please ensure you are involved in your school’s process.
I was very excited to spend time with many of the schools’ Admin Managers in Abu Dhabi in December and I’m looking forward to our second regional Teaching and Learning Conference in Hanoi next month. These are both excellent examples of the way we can interact with our SEAMEI colleagues. The Principals and I met in Hyderabad last week and we discussed ways of augmenting these conferences (and the other opportunities our team has to be involved with regional and global initiatives) with ways of expanding how we work together within India. Our education team will be working with all schools to identify and set up Professional Learning Communities to work together on areas of support.
I would also like to congratulate our latest grads from the SLP and MLP Cohort 11 and those selected for Cohort 12 and the King’s College,London programme. We value the commitment and effort colleagues have invested into their leadership development this past year and wish all the very best to the new participants who will take the next step in their career by developing their skills through an instructive year-long programme.
I hope you are getting the opportunity to read the new Insights articles. These are an excellent addition to the NAE think pieces around education. Along with the fantastic courses on NAU (if you haven’t seen it, the recent course curated by two ex-colleagues of mine on neurodiversity is well worth your time), this is an invaluable resource for provoking thoughts on our educational practice.
